"Calendula flowers are the best for chapped and irritated skin during monsoon. My mother applies paste of the flowers on cracked heels. I apply infused oil of calendula on sunburns and sores since it is an antiseptic," she asserts.
Walking on the same lines as Anita is Richa Mehta, a housewife from Model Town, who had been experimenting with hibiscus flowers off late. "I had once heard my grandmother-in-law talk about hibiscus flowers as a great exfoliating agent for the skin and wrinkles. It also acts as an anti-dandruff product," she asserts.
Another such natural remedy lover is Anjali who claims of having found a secret to pink lips through natural rose water extract. "The ones available in the market are not pure. So this summer I experimented at home and found wonderful results. I think everyone should try this out at home," she says.
"The home made Rooafzah made from rose petals, too, is a good and healthy drink for summers," she adds.
